This is the moment three masked men armed with knives burgled a house while a man, his heavily-pregnant partner and their 14-month-old son slept through the raid.

Adam Cutter said his blood ran cold when he realised the burglars had stolen items from the bedroom in which he and his loved ones slept.

CCTV footage captured by his neighbours doorbell camera shows the moment the thieves struck the Coalville home in the early hours and got away with his £60,000 sports car, jewellery and cash to the value of up to £100,000.

The 28-year-old van salesman said his partner Amy, 24, gave birth less than 24 hours after the robbery on August 6th.

He said: “Amy is distraught. She has gone to her mother’s with our son Kaylen and refuses to stay in this house after realising what has happened.”

Cutter said he only realised his home had been burgled when he went to go to work and saw that his car was not on the drive.

He was surprised to find three knives, two of which have 10-inch blades, were missing. One of them, with an eight-inch blade was left on the side by mistake.

Cutter said: “My blood ran cold when I realised that whoever had been in our house had armed themselves with these huge knives"

Cutter said the thieves got away with £28,000 in cash, two Rolex watches worth £20,000, a £8,000 gold and diamond necklace.

The raiders also took a Louis Vuitton bag worth £1,500 and a £350 Michael Kors bag containing £4,000 cash and a £500 iPhone.

The family believes that their two dogs may have been drugged to keep them quiet because they did not bark during the burglary.

Leicestershire Police said they are investigating the break-in.

A force spokesman said: “We received a report at about 9.20am this morning concerning a burglary at a house in Coalville.

“It has been reported that money, jewellery and a Nissan GTR were taken. Our enquiries are ongoing."
