Protest held on busy road over flyover demolition plans
Protesters have gathered in Perry Barr in Birmingham, rallying against plans for major changes to the road system costing around £27 million.
A consultation is open into the plans, which include the knocking down of the A34 flyover and introducing new express bus lanes. The consultation is due to conclude at the end of July.
Campaigners say it will increase congestion, and remove valuable parking spaces. Birmingham City Council has said it will listen to the objections.
Perry Barr's Labour MP Khalid Mahmood says residents are not being listened to.
