Des is back at work today after falling seriously ill in November with a gastric tumour
He had to have 13 blood transfusions in one night to keep him alive
He went back to Queen's hospital in Burton to thank all the staff for their care
Des Coleman was back at work today after spending several months recovering from a serious illness.
He collapsed and was rushed to hospital by ambulance last November.
He suffered a major bleed in his bowel and lost around four litres ofblood in just one night, and had 13 blood transfusions.
Des is now urging others to give blood.
