Storm Doris pensioner death inquest is adjourned
An inquest into the death of a pensioner who was critically injured duringStorm Doris has been adjourned until June.
Alan Edward Green, 85, died in hospital in Stoke-on-Trent three days after the car he was travelling in was hit by a falling tree in Shropshire.
Mr Green, from Craven Arms, was a front seat passenger in a Ford Fiesta when it was hit on the A49 near Church Stretton shortly before 9.30am on February 23.
A university worker also suffered fatal injuries as winds of up to 94mph swept Britain during Storm Doris.
Tahnie Martin, from Stafford, was pronounced dead in Wolverhampton city centre after being hit by a wooden water tank cover which fell from a shopping centre roof.
