For Scott Chalkley and Sue Davey, the holiday to Tunisia was supposed to be a celebration, a landmark moment in their new relationship.

They'd each sold their homes, and were about to sign a contract to buy a new one together.

Their plans for a happy future, however, were cut short when they were shot dead on the beach outside their hotel.

The blossoming relationship had been a change of gear for Scott, who his sons described as a "cheeky chappy".

Ross and Bradley Naylor said their dad was a "joker" who could have a laugh with anyone and they could talk to him about anything.

They thought he would be an "eternal bachelor" but when he met Sue Davey, he was smitten, and they had decided to start a new life together.

A visit from police in the wake of the attack confirmed their worst fears.

Bradley Naylor said the day he found out that his dad had passed away "was the worst day of my life".

In total, 38 people lost their lives that day, including 30 Britons who were shot dead on the beach and in and around the Imperial Marhaba Hotel.

Now, with the inquests over, Scott's sons hope is that they might finally get some peace.
