Britain's most notorious prisoner Charles Bronson to marry Corrie actress
Britain's most notorious prisoner who once held a doctor hostage in Birmingham is to marry a soap actress from Stoke-on-Trent.
Charles Bronson, who has changed his name to Charlie Salvador, has spent more than 40 years in prison for armed robbery, a number of hostage situations and other violent offences.
The former boxer documented his story in prison, which led to former Coronation actress Paula Williamson to start writing to him in prison in 2013.
The pair struck up a friendship and after a three month relationship through prison bars, the 64-year-old proposed to her at HMP Wakefield last week.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain Williamson revealed she has met Bronson face-to-face four times and insisted that their relationship was the "real deal".
She described the notorious criminal as a "gentleman" and said they plan to get married in the prison chapel but haven't yet set a date.

A psychologist Dr David Holmes when asked about the relationship said that females are often attracted to "brutal caveman like characters" and that this kind of relationship is "safe".
