Boy with cerebral palsy receives card and £50 from notorious prisoner Charles Bronson
An 11-year-old boy from Staffordshire who has cerebral palsy has received a card and £50 in cash from notorious prisoner Charles Bronson.
In 2011 Ben Baddeley wrote a letter to the former Prime Minister David Cameron after an operation he was due to have was cancelled. In the letter he appealed for the NHS to fund his physiotherapy, which reportedly costs £2000 every month.
Ben's story came to the attention of the man dubbed "the most violent prisoner in Britain". Charles Bronson arranged for a piece of his art work to be auctioned off, which raised £510 for Ben's cause.
Ben wrote a thank you letter to Bronson in prison. He then received a card back with £50 inside for him to "treat himself with".
In the note, Charles Bronson wrote that there is only one Ben Baddeley and encouraged him to "keep up his fight".
Ben has written another letter back to Bronson, thanking him for the £50 pocket money.
Ben's mum Amy has told us that he has bought himself an out door activity set with the money.
