Fire crews to remain at the scene of major fire over next few days
Firefighters are expected to remain at the scene of a major fire at a recycling plant in Stoke-on-Trent over the next few days.
Crews say the fire at Hanbury Plastics Ltd has been contained inside but the structure is too unsafe to enter following the collapse of the roof.
Two fire engines were in attendance at the scene in Milton this morning to dampen down and monitor the site.
More crews are expected to assist throughout the day.
The blaze broke out at the recycling plant on Saturday night with more than 50 firefighters involved at its height.
The risk to public health is low but advice from the fire service is for local residents to keep their windows and doors closed.
