Paraplegic fundraiser back in training 10 days after giving birth
A woman who was paralysed from the chest down after a horse riding accident 10 years ago is back home after the birth of her second child.
Claire Lomas MBE from Eye Kettleby near Melton Mowbray received national recognition forwalking the London marathon in her robotic suit. She says that completing her family is her greatest achievement.
After she found out she was pregnant last year, Claire walked the Great North Run in her robotic suit.
At the end of last year Claire was awarded an MBE. Her invite to Buckingham Palace for the 28th February - two days after her due date. Luckily Chloe arrived a month early to be part of the celebrations
She's now back in training 10 days after having a caesarian section preparing for events this summer, and using this machine which trains muscles in her legs in the hope that one day medicine may find a cure for her spinal injury.
