Who were the Midlands victims of the Tunisia attacks?

The inquest into the deaths of 30 Brits, including 11 from the Midlands, who died will deliver its findings later.

A total of 38 people were killed when gunman Seifeddine Rezgui opened fire in the coastal Tunisian resort of Port El Kantaoui near Sousse on 26 June 2015.

The gunman was later killed by security forces and so-called Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.

Who were the Midlands victims of the Tunisia attacks?

Three generations of the same family were killed in the attack.

Patrick Evans, 78, was the father of Adrian Evans and the grandfather of 19-year-old Joel Richards. The men from Wednesbury were caught in the crossfire and died as a result of their injuries.

Adrian Evans worked for Sandwell Council as a manager in the gas services department, while 19-year-old Joel Richards was a talented football referee. A memorial fund has since been set up in his memory to help young people get into coaching and refereeing.

Scott Chalkley and his partner Sue Davey had been staying in the Imperial Hotel in Sousse.

The couple, from Derby and Tamworth respectively, worked at Severn Trent Water and had just bought a house together in Tamworth.

Chalkley was an avid Arsenal supporter. His favourite club sent a wreath to his funeral in response to news of his death. Manager Arsene Wenger also sent a personal letter to the family expressing his sorrow at what had happened.

John Stollery, 58, was a social worker from Nottinghamshire. He worked at Nottinghamshire County Council for 33 years and dedicated the last 16 years of his career to working with children in care.

The former paratrooper from Newark was running away through the car park with his wife when he was hit.

Carly Lovett, 24, from Gainsborough in Lincolnshire, was holidaying with her fiance Liam when she was killed and died in his arms.

The former University of Lincoln graduate was a fashion blogger, who had recently got engaged to her childhood sweetheart.

Former Birmingham City footballer Denis Thwaites,70, was killed alongside his wife Elaine, 69, from Kings Heath.

The couple had been staying at the Imperial Marhaba Hotel when the gunman struck.

Ray and Angela Fisher from Leicestershire were among the last Britons confirmed to have died.

The inquest heard that the couple were weeks away from celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
