Nick Skelton wins Great Britain's first ever Olympic individual showjumping gold at 58-years-old
At the age of 58, Nick Skelton from Bedworth in Warwickshire has won gold in the equestrian individual jumping.
In doing so, he became the oldest Olympic champion in any equestrian sport,
Skelton first competed in Seoul 88 - and this is his first individual medal.
It was Team GB's first ever gold in the individual Equestrian Jumping, which Skelton claimed on his horse Big Star.
In 2012 he was part of the first ever British showjumping team to win Olympic gold in more than half a century, but he narrowly missed out on an individual medal.
A post box was painted gold to mark his achievements and he was awarded an OBE by the Queen for his services to equestrian sport.
