Investigation launched after police shooting near M62 in Huddersfield

One of Bradford's MPs has echoed West Yorkshire's Chief Constable's calls for calm following the death of a man in a police operation.

Hundreds of people attended the funeral service of Mohammed Yassar Yaqub on Friday morning, more than were able to fit inside the building.

Yassar Yaqub, 28, was shot dead during a police incident at Ainley Top on Monday evening.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission said that so far no CCTV has been found after the shooting on the M62 sliproad on Monday night.
