Less could well be more for League Two leaders Chesterfield as just two players join the Spireites' promotion campaign.

League Two promotion hopefuls Scunthorpe recruited experienced winger Gary McSheffrey from league leaders Chesterfield on a free transfer. They'll be hoping he provides the service for striker Paddy Madden, who joined from Yeovil, to fire them into League One.
Defender Marcus Williams rejoins The Iron on a free transfer from Sheffield United, while experienced midfielder David Syers comes in from Doncaster Rovers on loan.
Former Scotland international Chris Iwelumo is the only player to leave Glanford Park heading north to St. Johnstone on a free transfer.

It's been a fairly quiet transfer window for Doncaster Rovers with just five transfers in Januray.
