Police appeal after women dies in crash in Apperley Bridge

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman died in a collision in Apperley Bridge near Bradford.

It happened at about 5.40am on Tuesday June, 23, on Harrogate Road, when a woman driving a black Vauxhall Astra was in collision with a Ford Focus which was parked on the road close to the junction with Parkin Lane. The female driver, who was in her thirties, died at the scene.

Anyone who saw the movements of the Astra beforehand and anyone who may have dashcam footage is urged to contact police.

Road closures remain in place on Harrogate Road today and motorists are advised to find an alternative route.
