Rotherham United's ground to be new COVID-19 testing base for essential workers

Rotherham United's ground will be used as a base for COVID-19 testing by the Department of Health and Social Care, as the nation continues to take steps to battle the outbreak of the virus.

The tests will take place for three days from Monday morning, but are by invitation only for essential workers.

Members of the public are being told that no walk up appointments will be accepted, as there are only enough tests for the essential workers booked in.

Rotherham United Chairman Tony Stewart expressed his pride at the opportunity for the club to play its part in tackling the outbreak of the virus.
