Crowds swell in Bradford for start of elite women's road race
Crowds are lining the streets in Bradford for the start of the Elite Women's road race which gets underway outside City Hall.
It is day seven of the event and competitors will ride 150km to Harrogate, passing through Guiseley, Menston and Otley.
Amongst the cyclists is Yorkshire Lizzie Deignan who will lead the British team of six riders which includes Sheffield born Lizzie Banks.
Lizzie Deignan, who gave birth to her daughter Olivia last year, previously won road race gold in 2015 at Richmond, in the USA.
Road closures and diversions are in place once again as thousands line the streets along the route as cycling fever once again grips the county.
The race is expected to finish between 3.30pm and 4pm.
It is the 92nd UCI Road World Championships and the fourth to be held in the United Kingdom.
