Mother of son killed by drunken tractor driver to meet government ministers
The mother of eleven year old Harry Whitlam who was killed by a drunken tractor driver on a farm at Rothwell is meeting Jesse Norman MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Roads, Local Transport and Devolution in London today.
Harry Whitlam died on a farm at Rothwell in Leeds but the tractor driver was not subject to the drink drive laws because it happened on private land.
His mother Pam Whitlam has been campaigning for a change in the law. She said drink driving should be an offence wherever you are and wants the law extending to cover private land.
