Clear-up continues after flash floods across the region
Torrential rain caused widespread flash flooding across the region last night. Fire crews were called to dozens of flood related incidents in North, West and South Yorkshire.
In the Calder Valley, residents fearing a repeat of the the devastation of Boxing Day last year frantically tried to keep rising floodwaters from their doors.
Meanwhile at Hathersage in north Derbyshire a thirteen year old boy has been hailed a hero for helping to rescue drivers from their flooded cars.
