Flash flooding hits parts of Yorkshire
Parts of the Calendar region have been hit by flash flooding following heavy rainfall.
The Environment Agency issued 20 flood warnings for Yorkshire and the North East and traffic in many areas was brought to a standstill as roads were left under water.
In some towns and villages, residents who are still recovering from last year's Boxing Day floods had to take action once again to protect homes and businesses.
Social media users posted pictures of localised flooding in places like the Holme Valley and Dewsbury.
Meanwhile, the authorities used social media to issue warnings and advice.
