Border Storm Ophelia

Electricity North West has restored power to nearly 5,000 properties overnight across Cumbria, following ex Storm Ophelia.

Emergency services have been working through the night to deal with a number of incidents relating to the high winds of Storm Ophelia.

A yellow, and in some parts amber, warning for strong winds has been issued for Cumbria and Southern Scotland from midday and tomorrow.
