Border Speed Limit

Its part of a national strategy across Scotland to ensure all appropriate roads in built-up areas will have a safer speed limit of 20mph by the end of 2025.

Nearly every resident in Crailing in the Borders has signed a petition calling for the A698 to be reduced to 50mph.

The trial for lower speed limits came into effect last year. Scottish Borders Council has said it will identify changes "on a case-by-case basis".
