The Dumfries nurse singing her patients through the crisis
Video report by Lewis Warner
A critical care nurse from Dumfries has spoken to ITV Border about the challenges she faced of being on the coronavirus frontline.
Anne-Marie Cossar, 33, says that the hardest part of was seeing patients suffer without having their family around.
She said, "Watching that and speaking to families and feeling their fears and hearing their worries and knowing that you can't really allow them to come and be with their loved ones, that's the hardest part."
Anne-Marie found that writing songs helped her deal with the stresses of work.
Earlier this year, she posted her own version of Gerry Cinnamon's song Belter on Facebook earlier this year, changing the lyrics to reflect the challenges of being on the front line against Covid-19.
She has has now released a charity single called PatientPatient. The money raised will go towards The Intensive Care Society who provide crucial wellbeing and emotional support to frontline professionals.
At the heart of the song, she hopes people will find a message of hope for those who are ill.
