Ten ducklings rescued from the roadside after mum dies in accident
Ten lucky ducklings have been rescued from the roadside by police in the Scottish Borders.
One of the force's officers was travelling home on Wednesday evening when he was involved in a rescue operation.
Unfortunately, the mother of the ducklings had died after a traffic accident, but all ten of her babies were saved.
They are now in the safe hands of the SSPCA who will look after them until they are big enough to be released into the wild.
