Investigations continue after two bodies found in a house in west Cumbria

Police are preparing a file for the coroner after two people were found dead at a house in Workington, west Cumbria.

Officers forced their way into the property on Vulcan's Lane, where a man, believed to be in his 50s, and a woman, believed to be in her 80s, were discovered.

Officers say their deaths are being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.

A formal identification has yet to take place but the next of kin have been informed.
