Two found dead at house in Workington

The bodies of a man an a woman have been found at a house in Workington.

Officers forced their way into the property on Vulcans Lane, where a man, believed to be in his 50s, and a woman, believed to be in her 80s, were discovered.

The deaths are not being treated as being suspicious at this time.

Detective Inspector Matt Scott said: "The circumstances of the deaths are under constant review by myself while the investigation continues.

“Residents may see a large police presence around this area of the town as inquiries are carried out.

“There is no perceived risk to the wider public."
