40 jobs lost as west Cumbrian building firm ceases trading

40 jobs have been lost at a building firm in West Cumbria.

Egremont based Mayson Bros has gone into administration after 37 years of trading. The company worked across the construction sector, offering services in civil engineering, drainage, decorating, plumbing and electrics.

Mayson Bros has worked on major schemes across Cumbria for the Environment Agency, Cumbria County Council, Home Group and Copeland Borough Council.

Daryl Warwick and Mike Kienlen, of Armstrong Watson, have been appointed as joint administrators of the company.
