Region recognised in New Year's Honours list 2020
This year, a number of people across Cumbria and southern Scotland have made the Queen's 2020 New Year's Honours List.
Business leaders, charity volunteers, medics and educational pioneers have been recognised for their outstanding achievements. All are figures who have made a huge difference to their communities.

Dr Martyn James Blissitt of Tweeddale, for services to Animal Health.
Mr Ian Simon Davidson of Berwickshire, for services to Agriculture in Scotland.
