New Dumfries school closed over building safety concerns

The new multi-million pound North West Community Campus in Dumfries has been closed over concerns of building safety.

It follows a second incident earlier today in the last three weeks since the school opened, where a student has been injured.

Dumfries and Galloway Council say it has lost confidence in any assurances it has been given in relation to the building.

It says it's disgraced that it's faced with the issue of public safety after assurances from the contractor Graham and developers HUB South West.
