Woman dies in motorbike accident near Selkirk

A woman has died after two motorbikes collided at the A708 and A707 junction at the Gordon Arms on Saturday afternoon.

The casualty was a passenger on one of the bikes whilst the two male drivers have been taken to hospital.

One male rider was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow and the other to the New Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment to serious injuries.

The incident happened around 3 o'clock.

Police say inquiries are still ongoing and ask for anyone with information to come forward.
