The UK's only collection of wetland animals made from LEGO bricks has made its debut in Dumfriesshire.

The first of its kind in Scotland, the trail pf sculptures at the Caerlaverock Wetland Centre is open to the public until the end of July.

It includes 11 brick sculptures up to 12-times its life-size including Flavia the Andean flamingo, Emily the dragonfly and Benedict the Bewick swan.

A number of local children went to see the sculptures, also learning more about the real wildlife at the reserve from the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust staff.
