Police said they want to hear from anyone who saw what happened.

Police, fire crews and the air ambulance were called to the crash at the A47 between Guyhirn and Wisbech. The road has now re-opened.

The animals were found soaked in urine and faeces and suffering from malnutrition, dehydration, fleas and ulcers.
