Anglia region records no new coronavirus deaths for the first time in three weeks
The NHS has reported no new coronavirus deaths in the Anglia region for only the second time since before the lockdown in March.
However, delays in the reporting of deaths at the weekend may mean that changes when more information becomes available on Tuesday. The last time there were no Covid-19 deaths recorded in hospitals in the Anglia region was on 12th March.
The last time the NHS reported there had been no deaths in the Anglia region was on Monday 22nd June and it subsequently turned out that six patients had died the previous day.
It is likely the known number of people dying with coronavirus will increase when more detailed information is released by the Office of National Statistics on Tuesday.

The total number of patients dying in the hospitals in the Anglia region is 4,100 and the total number of deaths in all settings, including care home, hospices and in the community as well as in hospitals is 5,889.
The total figure includes people who have died without a positive test for Covid-19 but where the condition was mentioned on death certificates.
Although no new deaths were declared by the NHS on Monday there were four deaths reported on Sunday and nine deaths on Saturday.
There was a small increase in positive Covid-19 tests in the Anglia region in the week after lockdown measures were eased over the weekend of 4th/5th July.
There was a 5% rise in confirmed coronavirus cases in the area in the week to 10th July compared to the previous week. It is the first weekly increase since the peak of the pandemic in late April/early May.
According to Public Health England, there were 390 positive coronavirus tests in the week to 10th July compared to 371 in the week to 3rd July.
There were 63 new confirmed cases in the Anglia region in 24 hours which were added to the total on Monday pushing the overall total since the start of the pandemic past 28,000.
