The NHS reports a further two coronavirus patients have died in the Anglia region
A further two patients have died with Covid-19 in hospitals in the Anglia region following 12 additional deaths announced over the weekend.
The patients passed away at Basildon Hospital in Essex and at the Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Trust.
The two deaths reported in the Anglia region follows ten hospital deaths reported by the NHS in the region on Saturday and two on Sunday.
The figures announced by the NHS tend to fall at weekends because there are delays in reported. Last Monday the NHS reported two patients had passed away with no deaths announced on the previous Monday.
The total number of patients dying in the hospitals in the Anglia region has now reached 4,072 and the total number of deaths in all settings, including care homes, hospitals and in the community is 5,841.

The UK's coronavirus death toll has risen to 44,236 after a further 16 people were confirmed to have died after testing positive for the infection.
Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland did not report a single new death related to Covid-19 in the 24-hour period up to 9am on Monday, July 6.
It is the lowest daily rise since March 16, when the same number of deaths were registered.
