As temperatures have risen through this week thanks to a southerly airflow developing, the Anglia region (and every country in the British Isles) saw it's highest temperature of the year so far.

Santon Downham stole the top spot reaching 28.2ºC on Wednesday 20th May 2020, making it the hottest day of the year so far for the UK.

This is the hottest it's been in the Anglia region since 27th August 2019 when 32.6ºC was reached.
