A further 76 hospital patients die with coronavirus in the Anglia region

Follow a dip in the number of hospital patients dying with Covid-19 on Monday, the figure has risen again in the Anglia region.

There were an additional 76 deaths reported by NHS England in hospitals in the East of England, Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire on Tuesday taking the total number of deaths to 2,447.

The daily figures were 41 on Monday and 51 in Sunday.

A further 666 people have died in the region in care homes, hospices and their own homes according to weekly figures released today by the Office of National Statistics (ONS) and the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The combined figures mean that more than 3,100 people have died with coronavirus in the Eastern Counties since the outbreak started.
