Coronavirus deaths in the Anglia region back up after weekend dip
The number of people who have died with coronavirus in hospitals in the Anglia region is now more than 1,900.
NHS England announced a further 91 patients had died in the area in figures released on Tuesday.
The daily figures still do not include deaths in care homes, in hospices or the community although weekly data released by the Office of National Statistics (ONS) today revealed there had been an additional 172 deaths outside hospital in the Anglia region up until the 10th April.
There is a long time lag in publishing the ONS data because it comes from the registration of deaths and death certificates but the figures down the death toll could be 15-20% higher that previously reported.
