Friends of Horsey Seals have announced that another record number of seal pups have been born at Horsey and Winterton during the recent breeding season
The 2316 new seal pups born between Winterton and Horsey this season exceeds last years births by well over 200.
Grey seals come ashore at Horsey & Winterton to breed during the winter months.
During this season, there was also a record number for the amount of rescues that have been carried out. 12 injured or sick seals were saved, some had fishing net entanglement or flying toy rings embedded in their necks.
All the injured seals were taken to the RSPCA Hospital at East Winch and eventually released after special care and hospitalisation.
