East Anglia is on track for the hottest weekend of 2019 so far!
After what was a bit of a mixed bag of weather during bank holiday Monday, it looks like the weather gods are playing in our favour for this weekend.
Warm air is set to move in from the tropics during the end of this week, with increasing amounts of sunshine for the weekend. Combining these two variables together gives the perfect recipe for scorching temperatures.
Temperatures are set to rise quickly during the weekend with highs likely to be in the upper twenties, peaking on Sunday. But if you're wanting to escape the heat, maybe a trip to the beach is on the cards, where temperatures will be pinned back it. Although I'd second guess getting into the inviting ocean as the sea is only 12 degrees!
The highest temperature of the year so far for the Anglia Region is 24.5°C which was recorded in Santon Downham, Suffolk on the 22nd April.
Temperatures are forecast to beat that on Saturday and again on Sunday! Many places are expected to reach 27 to 28°C in the Anglia Region
