Two women dead after vehicle crashes into water-filled ditch in Cambridgeshire

Two women have died and two other people have been injured after crash in Cambridgeshire.

The vehicle carrying four people left the road and went into a water-filled ditch on Puddock Road, off Ramsey Forty Foot near Chatteris.

Two women in the rear of the vehicle have died, while two people, who were in the front have been taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital with minor injuries.

The collision was reported at 7.18 am this morning (Friday). Police have launched an investigation into how the crash happened.

Anyone with information should contact the road policing unit on 101.

Earlier this week Sharon Taylor, 54, died in a similar incident when her car plunged into a roadside drain at Wimblington, near Chatteris.
