Three backroom staff depart as Stuart Webber begins major shake-up at Norwich City
Norwich City's new Sporting Director Stuart Webber has created quite the impact in his first week at the club.
A 7-1 win at home to Reading last weekend, and now a major shake-up to the club's backroom staff.
Technical director Ricky Martin, head of football recruitment Tony Spearing and head of scouting Lee Darnbrough have all departed from Carrow Road.
Webber is hoping to revamp the club's recruitment department, and is aiming to replace them with heads of recruitment for both the UK and Europe.
It means the end of a near 16 year association with City for Martin.
He was academy director during the club's FA Youth Cup winning campaign in 2013.
Darnbrough arrived at the Canaries in July 2015, to work on City's player recruitment and performance analysis, having previously carried out a similar role at Burnley.
Former Norwich player Spearing made more than 80 appearances for the Club in the 1980s and returned from Reading to join City’s backroom team in April last year.
Caretaker manager Alan Irvine says he is 'really disappointed' by the changes made.
Irvine is hoping for another convincing win when they host Fulham on Good Friday.
Irvine says he expects those performance levels to be maintained when Slavisa Jokanovic's team visit Carrow Road.
