Former Peterborough United midfielder Jack Collison says he has no regrets despite his promising career being cut short by injury at the age of just 27.

Collison was an emerging talent at West Ham United and went on to make more than 100 appearances for the Hammers, as well as representing Wales.

However, he dislocated his right kneecap in a game against Wigan Athletic in 2009 and was never able to fully recover.

He has just had his fourth operation in the space of seven years, a procedure which should prevent him needing an artificial replacement.

Collison tried to make several comebacks following the injury, but eventually decided to call it a day in February this year while at Peterborough United.

He is now a coach with the club's under 18s side and has also set up his own academy.

Collison admits he's heartbroken that his career came to a premature end, but still looks back with pride at all he achieved.
