Video report by ITV News Anglia's Tanya Mercer
A mother who lost her son in a road crash has spoken out about the shocking rise in deaths on our region's roads.
38-year-old David Holmes was killed in June 2013 on the A47 at Honingham near Norwich.
Now his mother Brenda says motorists need to be more vigilant.
Her warning comes as new figures reveal a significant increase in road deaths here in the East with some areas singled out as being particularly bad.
Road deaths from January-March 2015 and 2016
Suffolk - 10 (2016), 6 (2015)
Essex - 23 (2015), 9 (2015)
Norfolk - 5 (2016), 10 (2015)
One road that is under the spotlight more than most is the A133 in Essex.
Six people have been killed on the bypass near Clacton in the past 10 months, including two men at the end of March.
