New Cambridge manager: 'There's great potential here'
The newly appointed manager at Cambridge has spoken of the 'potential' and 'great history' at the club.
Shaun Derry's placement was announced this morning.
He has a big challenge ahead of him, turning around the fortunes of ailing Cambridge who have won just eight of their last 41 games.
The 37-year-old is a fairly young Manager but has shown promising leadership skills having captained a number of clubs during his playing career including Portsmouth, Leeds United, Crystal Palace and QPR.
He's also worked with a number of experienced managers such as Tony Pulis, Harry Redknapp and former Notts County boss Neil Warnock.
He replaces Richard Money who was sacked a week-and-a-half ago. Chairman Jez George said the team were 'underperforming' with him in charge.
