Matt Terry crowned X Factor winner 2016
Matt Terry has been crowned X Factor winner 2016.
The 23-year-old beat Sharon Osbourne's finalist, Finnish singer Saara Aalto, to clinch the title.
The waiter from Bromley fell over and shouted "oh my God" as the winner was announced by host Dermot O'Leary.
Breaking down in tears, Matt said: "Thank you. Thank you so much everybody."
He then picked mentor Nicole Scherzinger up.
It is the second win for Nicole, who mentored James Arthur, the winner of the 2012 series.
Terry picked Sam Smith's Bond theme tune, Writing's On The Wall, as his favourite song of the show.
His final song was a rendition of Randy Crawford's 1980 hit One Day I'll Fly Away.
Host Dermot O'Leary said there had been a total of 6.4 million votes cast.
He also revealed Ed Sheeran has written this year's winner's single, When Christmas Comes Around.
