Scarlett Keeling's mum vows to keep fighting for justice after pair cleared of killing teenager in Goa
The mum of a British schoolgirl raped and killed in Goa has blasted the system which cleared her alleged attackers saying: "It protects the criminals not the tourists".
Fiona MacKeown told ITV News she was "devastated" a judge had thrown the case against two local men out and vowed to take it to a higher court.
She said: "Obviously, if you are a female and you go out wearing a short skirt at night you deserve to get raped and murdered here."

Ms MacKeown's teenage daughter Scarlett Keeling was found dead on Goa's popular Anjuna beach eight years ago.
The 15-year-old had suffered 50 separate injuries and ecstasy, cocaine and LSD were found in her system.
Her death was originally treated as an accident but eventually police charged two local men with causing her death.
It was alleged Samson D'Souza and Placido Carvalho plied Scarlett with drugs, raped her and left her on the beach where she drowned.
But a judge in Goa cleared the pair of rape and culpable homicide - a charge down from murder - six years after the case first came to court.
Speaking from Goa, Ms MacKeown told ITV News: "I'm still reeling at the moment.
"I still can't get my head around... It just doesn't make sense to me."
Ms MacKeown plans to appeal the judge's decision but said she had lost faith in the system and no longer knew who to trust.
She added she didn't think it was safe for Brits to come to India at present.
"If you come to India on holiday and it all goes wrong, you're screwed. The system protects the criminals, not the tourists."
