Princess Anne cancels public engagements due to 'bad chest infection'
Princess Anne has cancelled public engagements next week while she recovers from a "bad chest infection".
A spokesperson said: "On doctors' orders she has cancelled her engagements for the coming week. She is resting privately at home."
The 66-year-old was treated at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on Wednesday before she was discharged and returned to Balmoral.
Last weekend the Princess Royal joined the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, and the Prince of Wales at the Braemar Highland Games which are held a short distance from the Royal Family's summer retreat in Aberdeenshire.
Princess Anne also recently spent time in Rio at the Olympic Games as a member of the International Olympic Committee.
