Apple Music buys Carpool Karaoke
From Stevie Wonder to One Direction, Carpool Karaoke has taken the internet by storm - and now it has been bought by Apple Music.
It has been commissioned for an exclusive 16-part spin-off series for the eyes of Apple subscribers only.
"It's a perfect fit for Apple Music - bringing subscribers exclusive access to their favourite artists and celebrities who come along for the ride." said Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice-president of internet software and services.
The collective views on Youtube for the sing-a-long sketch total over 830 million.
To name a few, stars have included Elton John, Coldplay, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and George Clooney.
Adele wins the most viewed video with over 119 million views, with Justin Bieber and his 86 million views in second place.
But although Carpool Karaoke has been made famous by James Corden he is not set to present the new show.
Instead he is going to produce and the presenter position remains unfilled.
Carpool Karaoke will remain a feature on Corden's The Late Late Show.
He said of the spin-off: "Where better to showcase it than with Apple Music?
