Woman 'discovers her biological father is Soham murderer Ian Huntley'

The daughter of Soham murderer Ian Huntley has revealed she only knew about her father's true identity after being given a school project on the killer.

Samantha Bryan was reportedly 14-years-old when asked to research "notorious crimes" connected to the Grimsby area, and stumbled across a pixilated photograph of herself and her mother on Google.

In an interview with the Mail on Sunday, she said: "I knew instantly one was my mum. And the little girl standing beside her was me at about ten".

Ian Huntley is currently spending 40 years in prison for the murders of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, in 2002.

Miss Bryan told the publication she was just four years old at the time of the murder and never met her biological father.

The discovery "was like being thumped in the chest. I began to shake, I couldn't stop the tears", she added.

Her mother, Katie Bryan, met Ian Huntley when she was 15, but left him during pregnancy. She went on to marry Martin Bryan.

Samantha, now 18, said she was raised by Martin, whom she calls "Dad."

She was granted anonymity by the courts, but gave the interview because she refuses "to be ashamed for existing".
