Adele publicly offered her support to Kesha
As she collected he award for best British female, Adele said: "I would like to take this moment to publicly support Kesha."
Kesha is currently involved in a legal dispute with music producer Dr Luke - who she has accused of sexually and physically abusing her.
Adele also won basically everything, cried and swore a lot
The star won an impressive four awards from her five nominations.
She was understandably quite emotional and turned the air very blue, prompting an apology from Ant and Dec.
"Not bad for a girl from Tottenham who don't like flying," she said.
Tim Peake made an appearance
Tim Peake, broadcasting live from the International Space Station, announced that Adele was the winner of the Global Success award.
A star struck Adele said her son would think she was "so cool" that Peake had announced her victory.
"Thanks to Tim Peake, I love you - I hope you're okay and not too hungry."
There was a touching tribute to David Bowie
The music legend was awarded a Brits icon award, just over a month since he lost his battle with cancer.
Annie Lennox called him "truly unique", while actor Gary Oldman, who accepted the award on behalf of his friend, said he was the "embodiment of that singular word - icon".
Bowie's band then played a medley of his hits before they were joined on stage by Lorde for Life on Mars.
Fair to say the tribute went down pretty well on Twitter.
Coldplay dedicated their win to refugees
After winning best British group and thus becoming the most successful band in Brits history, Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin had this message:

Viewers were left baffled when scantily-clad model Sadie Pimm interrupted Ant and Dec as the presenters tried to introduce the next live act Jess Glynne.
Kylie Minogue was there - and celebrating a special milestone
Hours before she attended the event and presented an award, the Australian singer posted a very emotional message on Instagram.
"Today marks my official 10 year 'all clear' from breast cancer," she told her legions of fans.

Craig David waded into the Brits diversity row, accusing the Brits of ignoring an entire genre of music.
Brits Critics' Choice Award winner Jack Garratt also told ITV News that it's "almost embarrassing" black British artists were not represented in this year's nominations.
