Caroline Flack confirms exit from The X Factor
TV presenter Caroline Flack has confirmed that she will not be returning to co-host The X Factor this year.
It comes after fellow co-host and former contestant Olly Murs announced he would not be returning to the TV talent show, along with radio DJ Nick Grimshaw who quit after just one season on the judging panel.
Caroline, who previously worked on ITV2 sister show The Xtra Factor, said:
Meanwhile, Murs said he had quit to focus on his singing career, saying his "heart belongs to music".
Richard Holloway, interim chief executive at FremantleMedia UK - the production company behind The X Factor - paid tribute to the pair's time on the show.
"Caroline and Olly were a brilliant double act on The X Factor, from their early days on Xtra Factor to last year at the helm of the main show," he said.
"I’d like to thank Caroline and Olly for their contribution to the show and wish them all the best."
Replacement hosts and this year's judging panel line-up have yet to be announced.
